The Opportunity

Option 1, Route A

Option 2, Route B

Option 3, Variation on Route B

Option 1, Route A

The masterplan illustrates how the site could be developed if Route A is the successful route of the Northern Link Road. The site is capable of accommodating around 4,500 units which would include a range of types and sizes to meet the needs of the area. There is potential for future growth north of the River Skerne, in future years, beyond the current plan period i.e. after 2036.

The masterplan illustrates over a third of the site would comprise open space areas, opening up currently private, and intensively managed land.

Option 2, Route B

If Route B is the preferred alignment of the Northern Link Road, the masterplan illustrates the site is capable of accommodating around 4,500 units which would include a range of types and sizes to meet the needs of the area.

The masterplan illustrates over a third of the site would comprise open space areas, opening up currently private, and intensively managed land.

Option 3, Variation on Route B

The masterplan illustrates a variation on Route B which would enable the Darlington Golf Club to be relocated to the River Skerne Corridor. The masterplan illustrates the site is also capable of accommodating around 4,500 units which would include a range of types and sizes to meet the needs of the area.

The masterplan illustrates over a third of the site would comprise open space areas, opening up currently private, and intensively managed land.
